Monday, 25th August 2025

  • Meet at the junction of Barlby Road and North Kensington.
  • We are usually set back from the roundabout to allow traffic access.

    Travel Advice

  • The carnival area becomes very busy during the day.
  • Public transport links may be crowded; parking is extremely limited.
  • Driving is not advisable — please plan your journey accordingly.
  • Check TfL travel updates before you set off.

    On the Day

  • Departure: We aim to set off at 12:00 pm.
  • Marshals will manage reasonable gaps between bands to avoid bunching and allow

    spectators to enjoy the parade.

  • The Notting Hill Carnival and Masology band welcome everyone!
  • Breaks: We plan to stop during the parade near facilities to distribute refreshments.
  • Please ensure your wristband is clearly visible.
  • If delays occur, we may skip the stop; refreshments will still be distributed safely as

    the parade moves.

  • Route: Approximately 3 miles.
  • Festivities end around 7:00 pm.
  • We will aim to return to Barlby Road, but this may not always be possible — follow

exit guidance from the Carnival Command Centre.

Safety & Enjoyment

  • Our goal is for everyone to have fun, capture memories, and share the experience.
  • Please be patient with our team and follow their guidance — they are there to keep the event

    safe and enjoyable.

  • The band will have first aiders, safety marshals, and the delivery team on hand.
  • Raise any concerns or needs as early as possible.
  • Use the Contact Us details on our website.

    Do’s & Don’ts

    Do:

  • Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
  • Keep hydrated and bring a refillable water bottle.
  • Use sunscreen or carry a light rain jacket (British weather is unpredictable).
  • Keep valuables secure and out of sight.
  • Stay with your group and agree on a meeting point in case you get separated.
  • Listen to marshals, stewards, and police officers.

Don’t:

  • Bring large bags or bulky items — space is limited and bag searches may apply.
  • Attempt to leave the parade route without guidance — some streets may be blocked.
  • Drink excessively — it can be hot, crowded, and tiring.
  • Climb on barriers, vehicles, or other structures.
  • Leave litter — use bins or take it with you.

    Entry & Exit Points

  • There are various access points to the carnival route.
  • Review these in advance and check public transport links before travelling.
  • Expect one-way systems at some stations.
